About The Artist
Nature, stones & bringing life back to bones is what i’m all about at Oddities By Oriana!
Having been raised on the rural Oregon coast by a family of artists, it would have been hard not to find much of my inspiration in nature and begin creating it with it from a young age. My deep appreciation and love for the natural world has only grown with every bone I've come across out in the woods. This work found me 9years ago, & I will forever be so grateful for that.
I still remember the first time I found some elk bones out in the woods and almost a decade later i’m still hunting for more! I can’t get enough. 99% of the bones used in my work are foraged myself. This makes each piece incredibly unique and 100% sustainably sourced.
The 1% of bones that I don’t find myself is the rare skull from a local farm or donations made by you guys! Anything used in my work that I can’t find or make myself has been sourced from other small businesses whenever possible. Some examples of these items are the frames used for suncatchers, jewelry findings and crystals.
